Vibro Corer

Vibrocorer has been designed as an easy to use, easy to transport modular system capable of collecting cores up to 9m in length. Two large electrical motors power two concentric weights, which produce the necessary vibration. The motors are adjustable and can run at various frequencies. Their nominal frequency is approximately 50 Hz. The sealed Vibrocorer head housing for the motors is designed to operate in water depths of up to 600m.

Double core barrel gravity and piston corer

Gravity Corer is a simple and reliable instrument for collecting sediment cores from coastal and deepwater sites for sample analysis. The corer uses the pull of gravity to penetrate the seabed with it’s carbon steel core barrel, which can collect samples of up to six metres in length. The entire corer is made from carbon steel and is fitted with stabilising fins to ensure that the corer penetrates the seabed in a straight line. The standard lead weights supplied with the corer comprise of four layers, each weighing 62 kg. Each layer comes in two segments and the total added weight is 248 kg.
